The Sutter Care at Home Grief and Bereavement Support program is open to the public, not just to those who use our hospice services. Our programs are designed to meet you where you are in your journey through grief, whether you experienced a loss recently or months or years ago. In addition to individual counseling, we offer:
- Adult grief support groups.
- Groups for adults who have lost a spouse.
- Groups for children and teens.
- Groups to help you handle the holidays.
- Creative workshops.
We also go into schools or business to offer support, education, training and emergency response after a devastating loss, such as when a student is killed in a car crash or a traumatic workplace accident occurs.
While our Bereavement Program generally provides support after a loss occurs, Sutter Care at Home has a staff of professional chaplains and medical social workers who provide spirit-based counseling or emotional support, to assist with grief and other issues that usually arise prior to the loss.
