Thoughts from Our Leader
Philanthropy is an irreplaceable part of our mission. Investments enable Sutter to innovate care, create vital new programs and expand access for our patients and their families. In 2021, over 19,500 people made a gift to Sutter Health—and 5,500 of them were brand new donors. We also raised $11M more than last year—a wonderful example of the creativity and resilience of our teams working in close partnership with our donors.
But giving is about more than money raised. Throughout the year, we continued to see donors connect their passion with our organization’s vision – getting us closer to achieving organizational goals like digital health, innovation and health equity. Time and time again, our communities confirm that Sutter Health is worthy of philanthropic support—validating again one of the pillars of my vision for our team.
During uncertain times one thing is certain—it is our connections with each other that are most important. We are honored to connect our donors with what is most important to them. In turn, their generosity benefits our patients and their families and supports Sutter Health’s mission. Through this giving to each other, our lives becomes more meaningful.
Looking ahead, I’m energized by the abundance of generosity of our donors and know that through this, we can accomplish anything.
