With more than 50 obstetricians and specialists in high-risk pregnancy and neonatal care, the teams at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center provide compassionate, family-centered support during every stage of your pregnancy, from prenatal care to postpartum services. Specialists including laborists, neonatologists, anesthesiologists and perinatologists are in the hospital around the clock to ensure that if a mother or baby needs specialized care, someone is there to provide it.
Prenatal Care and Testing
Our OB/Gyns and high-risk doctors, called maternal-fetal medicine specialists, offer comprehensive support during your pregnancy. We provide the full spectrum of prenatal care, including diagnostic testing, advanced imaging and neonatal specialty care.
Pregnancy and Childbirth Education
We prepare expectant parents with pregnancy and childbirth education classes that provide important information, hands-on skills and strategies for birth and beyond. Our breastfeeding support services are provided by our certified lactation specialists, and ongoing maternal support groups make sure you and your baby get off to the best possible start.
Labor and Delivery
Our family-centered birth center combines a serene, private atmosphere with many amenities as well as space for your partner to spend the night. We are proud to have an “A” grade hospital safety score from the Leapfrog Group and recognition as a leader in patient safety and quality.
Newborn Intensive Care (NICU)
When things don’t go as planned, our Level II neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) provides 24-hour care by highly experienced, board-certified neonatologists and neonatal nursing teams.
