When you receive a cancer diagnosis, your world becomes filled with complex emotions, questions, information and decisions. But you won’t be alone on the journey. At Palo Alto Medical Foundation, you receive all of your care—from diagnosis through treatment and recovery—from a team of doctors, nurse practitioners, clinicians and staff dedicated to your individual needs.
Unique Support Services
We offer a unique set of support services for our cancer patients, including financial counseling and nutrition counseling. Our cancer social workers also provide emotional support and guidance.
Our breast and prostate cancer nurse navigators are available to guide you through every step of the treatment process. They can help you make informed decisions about your care, coordinate your appointments with medical team members, and teach you and your family about managing side effects. Their goal is to make your treatment process as smooth and worry-free as possible.
Advanced Treatment, Personalized For You
PAMF recently became one of the first oncology practices in the nation to be recognized by the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®) Certification Program, an affiliate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
For years, we’ve been using three-dimensional treatment planning and intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), cone beam computed tomography (CT) and pre-therapy simulation to treat cancers. We also offer minimally invasive, robotic-assisted surgery for certain procedures.
We offer the most advanced radiosurgery treatment available using equipment that only a handful of healthcare providers in the world have access to. This technology allows doctors to treat brain tumors and cancers in all parts of the body, leading to fewer side effects, greater comfort and improved outcomes.
